About these terms
These terms govern your use of AstraOwl and AstraOwl Studio (the service), operated by AstraOwl. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy.
The service
AstraOwl helps families build habits and learning routines. AstraOwl Studio creates personalised learning posters, checks completed work from photos you choose to upload, and suggests what to learn next. Features may change as the service improves.
Accounts and children
Accounts are created and operated by parents, guardians, or educators. Child profiles are managed by the account holder — children do not operate their own logins. You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for the accuracy of the information you provide. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings.
Subscriptions and billing
Free plans are available with usage limits. Paid plans are billed through Stripe on the web, the App Store on iOS, or Google Play on Android, and renew until cancelled. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Purchases made through an app store are also subject to that store's terms and refund policies.
Your content
You own the photos and materials you upload. You grant us the limited licence needed to process them to provide the service — for example, reading a worksheet photo to create a poster or check completed work. Source photos are processed transiently and are not retained, as described in the privacy policy. Posters created for you are yours to use for personal, non-commercial family and classroom purposes.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the service: no unlawful content, no attempts to disrupt or overload the service, no automated scraping of other users' data, and no attempts to circumvent usage limits. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms.
Availability and changes
The service is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. We work hard to keep it reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability and may add, change, or retire features. We will post updates to these terms on this page; continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim.
