AstraOwl — delete your account

You can delete your AstraOwl account yourself, inside the app, at any time. Deletion is immediate and permanent, and it removes your data itself — not just access to it.

Delete your account in the app

Web — sign in at astraowl.com, open Settings → Security → Delete Account, enter your password, and type DELETE MY ACCOUNT to confirm.
iPhone, iPad, and Android (AstraOwl Studio app) — open Profile → Delete Account and confirm with your password.

You are signed out as soon as the deletion completes. There is no recovery period: if you want to come back later, create a new account.

Remove one child profile instead

To keep your account but remove a child, open Family on the web (astraowl.com/family) and choose Remove next to that child's profile. That child's data — posters, Learning Map history, habits, and progress — is deleted the same way.

What is removed

Account deletion removes, immediately and permanently:

your account: email address, username, password hash, settings, and billing references
all child profiles
every poster and its image files
Learning Map history, including the learning summaries built for each child
Wonders — your child's questions and the explainers created from them
habits, tasks, streaks, badges, and stardust history
community posts, friend links, and memories (including saved photos)
usage records, and any home AI engine settings including the encrypted access token

Any web (Stripe) subscription is cancelled as part of the deletion. The only thing retained is a minimal audit note that a deletion happened (date and account id), kept for fraud and dispute protection.

Subscriptions billed by Apple or Google

Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription billed through the App Store or Google Play — we cannot cancel those for you, and the app reminds you of this when you delete. Cancel first, then delete:

App Store — Settings → your name → Subscriptions → AstraOwl Studio → Cancel subscription.
Google Play — Play Store app → your profile → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions → AstraOwl Studio → Cancel subscription.

If you cannot open the app

Email leehongkai@gmail.com from the email address on your account with the subject "Delete my account" — this link fills it in for you. We reply to that same address to confirm the request is yours, delete the account and everything listed above, and confirm by email once it is done. Please do not send your password.
